My latte was great and I'm very pleased with my vegan breakfast sandwich. All latte sizes come with two shots and they pull in doubles, by the way!

Haven't been here since my last visit in August (I am living in Michigan until later this year and have only made it out to Portland once a year), but I think about Carnelian's coffee all the time. My partner even had a bag of beans shipped here from them for my birthday. At its best, their coffee is mindblowingly good, the best I've had since a particular blueberry-forward Beloya blew my curve for all coffee way back in 2009. Even though I'll probably live way across town when I move back, I expect to me making routine visits.

I highly recommend this coffee shop. I ordered a cortado, which was incredibly good; one of the better ones I've had in the Portland metro area. There are non-dairy milk options, and also many vegan options on their menu. That was a pleasant surprise since I stumbled across this shop and didn't see their menu ahead of time. Also loved the atmosphere; calm, cozy and soothing.

This is my go to coffee shop in Portland. Excellent drip coffee and a charming space. I come here to buy beans for my daily pourover, and like most other places, they offer a free coffee with the purchase of a bag of beans. I took advantage of that today to enjoy a pastry along with my coffee - Carnelian normally carries offerings from Tabor Bread (excellent stuff) as well as Shoofly, for a vegan option.

Each time I have gone to Carnelian it’s been a good experience. Such a gem in the Foster neighborhood. Their decor is lovely, and the drinks are made with quality. I like how they also expanded the seating area so you can find a quiet spot if you’d like. Thank you!

This is a lovely coffee shop. The space is amazing (love the rocks!) and their coffee is delicious. My favorite is the Thunderegg, their specialty cortado. Quite possibly the best cortado I’ve ever had. I wish I lived closer so I could justify coming more often! Highly recommend!

Lovely coffee shop on Foster. Coffee is decent, service is friendly. As the name suggests, there is indeed a fantastic collection of gems and rocks in the shop. It's a pretty fun place to spend some time in. The shop may seem small from the outside, there is actually another room for indoor seating (though dimly lit) and a few sunny tables outside.
